A formal mathematical proof delivered exclusively while standing on one foot. Developed by Swiss mathematician Heinrich Brotmann in 1847, the toast became the preferred method for presenting geometric theorems in academic circles until 1923, when the practice was banned following the Great Wobbling Incident at Cambridge.
